How did the producers from the Doctors TV Show choose Edina Plastic Surgery for this segment?
In April our practice got a call from one of the producers from The Doctors’ TV Show in Hollywood. He said that the Dr. Phil show had previously featured a local Minneapolis woman, Amanda Johnson, a mother of five who had recently lost more than 100 lbs. The show’s storyline was that she wanted to have plastic surgery (a mommy makeover) but her boyfriend was opposed to the idea.
Because the two shows share production facilities/staff, The Doctors’ producers wanted to film a follow-up segment featuring Amanda. So they went on the hunt for a Twin Cities plastic surgeon to fulfill her wishes for a mommy makeover. After doing a thorough search online for a surgeon and a practice that was very highly regarded, the producers called Dr. Nathan Leigh at Edina Plastic Surgery.
What procedures were performed on the mommy makeover patient?
In April of 2013, Dr. Leigh performed the first of two surgeries on the patient, Amanda Jones. They consisted of a tummy tuck, liposuction and a breast lift/augmentation. In June he did the second of two surgeries which was an auto-butt augmentation and some additional liposuction. The results of these surgeries were nothing less than incredible. Dr. Leigh did an excellent job explaining what he did during the surgeries. Amanda is delighted with her results, and the other doctors that star in the show were very impressed as well.
